Tallahassee, Florida -- VISIT FLORIDA is publishing a rich report of travel stories written, photographed and filmed by veteran journalists with long associations to such trusted news sources as the Miami Herald and Tampa Bay Times.
In 10 months, VISIT FLORIDA has produced more than 250 pieces of journalism, including videos, in English and Spanish. And it’s offering it for free.
So far, several media partners are running this content -- such as the Tampa Bay Times, Palm Beach Post and Philly.com.
Among the stories of Florida are these:
-- videos on wreck diving, Flamenco dancing, alligator meat, and a little jolt of inspiration called the cafecito;
-- photo essays on small-town downtowns, Florida's "mountains" and John F. Kennedy's island bunker;
-- and written reports on drive-in movie theaters, autism-friendly hotels and the economic engine that is Florida golf.
