Road Update: The Florida Department of Transportations reports no road closures on the state highway system.
UPDATE ON VISITOR AREAS IN HURRICANE PATH
Charlotte County www.englewoodchamber.com: Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte are not open to visitors at this time. In the areas of Englewood, Cape Haze and Placida in Charlotte County all businesses are open.
Fort Myers, Sanibel, Captiva in Lee County www.FortMyersSanibel.com.: Residents and business owners have returned to Captiva and Sanibel. The area is making significant progress in assessment and clean-up efforts as accommodations and businesses work to reopen. Visitors with immediate plans to visit the area should check with their tour operator or hotel if booked directly, to determine the status of their accommodations.
Naples, Marco Island, Collier County www.ParadiseCoast.com: Naples, Marco Island and the Everglades are open and welcoming visitors.
Sarasota, Bradenton Areas www.sarasotafl.org and www.flagulfislands.com: All accommodations and beaches are open and welcoming visitors.
Tampa/St. Pete�s-Clearwater www.visittampabay.com and www.floridasbeach.com: All area accommodations, attractions and beaches are open and welcoming visitors.
Citrus County (Crystal River, Homosassa) www.visitcitrus.com: All attractions and accommodations are open and welcoming visitors.
Orlando/Orange County/Osceola County www.orlandoinfo.com: All Orlando-area attractions, with the exception of Historic Bok Sanctuary and Water Mania, are open and operating. A few accommodations may be closed due to lack of power.
Daytona Beach, Volusia County www.daytonabeach.com: Daytona Beach area hotels, restaurants and attractions are open for business and ready to welcome visitors.
Florida Keys www.fla-keys.com: No serious impact in the Keys and visitors are returning!
De Soto, Hardee, Polk and Flagler Counties: we are awaiting updates.
