Adventure Park at the Virginia Aquarium
This summer, the Virginia Aquarium will open Virginia's first-of-its-kind “aerial forest park” in Virginia Beach. The five-acre Adventure Park will feature complex courses of zip lines and 12 different ropes courses containing 160 platforms in the trees and an outdoor “Labyrinth” containing 40 more platforms. The park will be open year-round – day and night. Indoor Sky Diving
iFly VA Beach, the city's first indoor skydiving complex, is expected to open in fall 2014 in the heart of the oceanfront resort area. The $49-million project will include an iFly wind tunnel that will provide a safe and protected way for individuals to experience the thrill of a free-falling skydive. Cavalier Hotel Renovation
The historic and iconic Cavalier Hotel, built in 1927, is currently undergoing a $259-million renovation, which will be completed in 2015. The plan is to restore the 86-year old Grand Cavalier Hotel on the Hill to its previous five-star experience and create a premier destination for weddings and events. Young Veterans Brewing Company
Virginia Beach's newest brewery, Young Veterans Brewing Company, was founded by two Iraq veterans and opened in late 2013 with six brews' names drawing inspiration from the armed services. A New Beginning for a Gateway to the Oceanfront
The new Laskin Road Gateway has transformed the oceanfront into an area rich with upscale appeal and a friendly main street atmosphere. Green Flash Brewing Co.
The well-known San Diego-based microbrewery, Green Flash Brewing Co., recently announced plans to build
its first East Coast brewery and tasting room in Virginia Beach. Construction on the 58,000-square-foot project is expected to begin this year. Live the Life Adventures
