Virgin Airways, lastminute.com and Le Manoir aux Quat�Saisons Hotel were among the winners at the prestigious TravelMole Web Awards, announced on 22 April 2005.
Prizes were awarded to 12 companies at a ceremony in London, for categories such as Best Agent Website, Best Airline Website and Best Responsible Tourism Website.
Over 300 nominated sites were analysed by a team of internet usability specialists and judged on their clarity, functionality and aesthetic appeal. Shortlisted sites were voted on by a panel of judges including John Lawrence, Worldchoice; Dr Hilary Murphy, Lausanne Hotel School; Liz Craig, OneGlobe Network, and Susie Greenwood, Greenwood Solutions.
Now in its third year, the TravelMole Web Awards (www.travelmoleis open to the entire UK travel industry and is designed to reward the cream of the trade online.
