Vintage House Open Day in Aldeburgh!

Best of Suffolk is celebrating the popularity of the vintage scene with style, with a special Vintage House Open Day this Saturday 6th July 11am- 3pm at 107 Saxmundham Road, Aldeburgh. Inspired by the Great Gatsby film, Best of Suffolk is hosting a glamorous and exclusive open day and art exhibition at this ‘back in time’ historic house.

The Vintage House has been completely re-renovated by Alex Tarry and Simon James, who carefully preserved its original furniture, fixtures and fittings back to its original 1920s glory. Amazingly almost all of the furniture inside the house are the original items of 1928 and brought back to life with vigilant restoration.

Alex Tarry the co-director of Best Of Suffolk says ‘Vintage is becoming a very fashionable trend and there is definitely a gap in the market for this type of holiday experience.’ Best of Suffolk is no stranger to the world of vintage with a genuine 1960’s MGA 1600 car situated inside the company’s headquarters, a classic Morris Minor that makes pleasurable appearances at Best of Suffolk outdoor events.

Throughout the Open Day, photographer Tassie Russle will be holding an art exhibition in one of the rooms, presenting some fantastic original photographs of the property taken before it was restored. This is also a wonderful chance for people to come and look around and appreciate this wonderful historic restoration.

The 1920’s period is notorious for being a time of simplicity and glamour, and that’s exactly what this property is all about. The property is currently an available holiday rental for all those vintage enthusiasts out there or anyone who simply wants to experience something new.
