Vineyard Safaris gives wine lovers a way to go beyond the cellar door. This new tour operator offers unparalleled access and private tastings at some of South Australia’s most fascinating wineries.

Established and personally led by by British-born Tim Wildman MW (Master of Wine), Vineyard Safaris offers exclusive one-day wine tours. Tim, one of just over 300 Masters of Wine in the world and a recognised expert on Australian wine, has developed relationships with Australia’s top producers over many years, ensuring that his guests are treated more like friends than visitors.

Tim shares tasting tips and trade secrets, combining luxury with hands-on experiences ranging from tasting a wine from your birth year to creating your own unique blend. Tastings and visits include not only Australia’s most iconic wines brands such as Penfolds Grange and Henschke Hill of Grace but also small, virtually hidden, artisan wineries that have no cellar door or sign at the end of their driveway.

Vineyard Safaris run from November to April for two to four people. About Tim Wildman – Tim Wildman is a British born MW who runs his own portfolio wine business involving travel, education and film. Tim became a Master of Wine in 2008 with a Dissertation on Australian wine, his professional speciality. Having worked in retail and education Tim is an “approachable expert”, able to converse about wine at all levels from the interested beginner to the knowledgeable connoisseur.

In 2009 Tim established James Busby Travel, a business-to-business company that specialises in two-week educational tours around Australia’s premium wine regions for trade professionals from around the world. Thanks to the relationships Tim has developed through James Busby Travel, when Tim brings private clients on a Vineyard Safaris tour the winemakers provide his guests with the kind of red carpet treatment reserved normally for friends, family and trade buyers.
