Sandra Nori, The New South Wales Minister for Tourism and Sport & Recreation and the Minister for Women, will assist with the official opening.

Another special guest will be former Newcastle Knight�s Prop and Channel Nine �The Footy Show� celebrity, Paul �The Chief� Harragon.

At 4:30pm the official formalities will kick off followed at 5.00 by the �Doonooch Dance Company� performing a vibrant Aboriginal welcoming ceremony and offering a traditional indigenous blessing.

At 6pm Fireworks will light the night skies in an amazing display of colour, sights and sounds.

Free Night Skiing begins at 6:30pm on Front Valley as Jax nightclub plays host to a live performance by 10 piece Swing Band �Zootster�.

Dance the night away to the wicked beats in Jax or ski and board under starry skies right through until 10:30 pm.
