Villa Living Just Got More Luxurious
Villa living at Ellerman House in Cape Town has become even more luxurious, with the addition of a second villa known as Villa Two. Integrating outstanding contemporary architecture with breath-taking sculpture and cutting-edge design, up and coming architect Michael Dennett has merged old and new in this gravity defying addition to Ellerman House's accommodation.
Ellerman House is the quintessential urban retreat, close to all the attractions of Cape Town yet enjoying a peaceful location in Bantry Bay with its spectacular Atlantic Ocean views, dramatic mountain scenery and fine beaches. In contrast to the old-world elegance of Ellerman House, the two luxury villas on the property add a glamorous edge to the hotel's classic style.
Opened in December 2013, Villa Two offers all the benefits of being attached to one of the most exclusive small hotels in the world, coupled with life's ultimate luxuries – complete privacy and discreet personal service tailor-made to the individual. With three bedrooms, spacious entertainment areas and an infinity pool, the new villa epitomises the glamorous beach lifestyle the area has become known for. Interior designer Robert Pollexfen was responsible for the villa's gorgeous interiors. Like the original Ellerman House Villa One, it is the quintessential ocean-view retreat. The two villas are linked and can be rented individually or together. Both villas are ideal for high-profile guests seeking extreme privacy.
Level Three
Private, secure parking leads to an entrance foyer with glimpses of the sea before opening out into spacious, open-plan living and dining rooms with a kitchen designed for social, interactive cooking and casual dining or formal dining. A personal chef is on call to create delicious snacks, breakfasts, lunches and dinners, emphasising fresh, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients whilst being fully flexible for dietary restrictions and food allergies. The light-filled living areas, in soft, soothing sea tones with natural stone and wood finishes, feature fold-away glass doors on two sides, seamlessly integrating indoor and outdoor entertainment areas with the ocean views. A private infinity pool sits on the expansive terrace.
Level Two
From the central corridor open the guest bathroom, study area, surround-sound cinema and three luxurious bedrooms each with extensive open-plan dressing room and bathroom. The rooms are named Sea Point, Clifton and Bantry Bay, according to their geographical orientation. Each bedroom has a jaw-dropping private terrace.
Level One
Below Villa Two sits the new Ellerman House Wine Gallery, which reveals the history of South African wine through innovative, custom-designed artistic features. The property's vast wine collection featuring 7,500 bottles, many of them rare or vintage, are displayed to great effect here.
Nightly rates for Villa Two start from 42,500R. Rates include exclusive use of Ellerman House Villa Two and all its facilities, 24 hour chef and dedicated hospitality team, breakfast served by a personal chef, fully stocked cold room including luxury snacks, fully stocked bar, including freshly squeezed juices, beers and spirits, laundry packed in tissue paper, daily sunset cocktails and canapés, WiFi, private entrance with 24 hour security, private secure parking.
