Vila Vita Parc, the Algarve's leading luxury resort, is hosting a weekend of culinary enjoyment on 10-12 May 2013 highlighting its participation in Rota das Estrelas, Portugal's most prestigious gourmet festival.

Highlights of the weekend include:

• Gourmet dinner in Vila Vita's two-Michelin star Ocean Restaurant, prepared by chef Hans Neuner and guest chef Jacob-Jan Boerma from the two-Michelin star De Leest Restaurant in the Netherlands (Sunday 12th May)
• Wine & Dine Affairs Party featuring renowned international wineries and guest chefs from Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, France and the Netherlands (Friday 10th May).
• Exclusive port wine and cheese dinner in Cave de Vinhos, the resort's impressive gothic wine cellar (Saturday 11th May)
• Portuguese specialties menu in Adega, the resort's traditional Portuguese restaurant (Saturday 11th May)
• Wine tasting and lunch at Herdade dos Grous, Vila Vita Parc's award winning vineyard and country estate in the Alentejo with Portuguese guest chef (Saturday 11th May)
• Gin Night in Oasis Bar (Saturday 11th May)
• Junior Master Chef competition for 6 to 16 year olds (Sunday 12th May)

The culinary weekend, which will involve a variety of partners and sponsors showcasing food, wine, spirits, champagne, cocktails and cigars marks Vila Vita Parc's participation in Rota das Estrelas - the Route of the Stars. Rota das Estrelas was launched in 2010, as a way of introducing Portugal's leading chefs to a wider audience. Other Michelin-starred venues participating in the festival, which runs until November, include hotels and restaurants in the Algarve, Lisbon, Cascais, Amarante, Porto and Madeira.
