Vila Joya Celebrates Global Wellness Day With a Sound-Healing Concert for Guests

Vila Joya

The ancient Indian practice of Sound or Nada Yoga promises to harness local sound energy and vibration, instilling followers with a sense of unity and calm. In addition to participating in the Sound-Healing Concert, guests will be invited to try individual healing sessions with Maia de Loureiro, as he uses his voice with didgeridoos and crystals to align the sitter's chakra.

A family-owned hotel, Vila Joya is exclusive and peaceful with a world-class spa that specialises in holistic bespoke treatments. There are three treatment rooms, a sauna, hammam, swimming pool and outdoor Jacuzzi.

Named 'Europe's Leading Boutique Hotel' at the 2014 World Travel Awards, Vila Joya is a tranquil 22-room hotel nestled between swaying palms and bright bougainvillea on a peaceful part of Portugal's bustling coastline.

Taking its name from the Moorsish occupation in southern Portugal during the Middle Ages (invaders named the region Al Gharb, translating as “the West”), this area of golden sands, lapis waters and craggy limestone protrusions that crumble wildly into the sea was named Europe's best beach destination at the 2013 World Travel Awards.
