The 2014 awards were handed out in a glittering ceremony held at the Montcalm Hotel, Marble Arch, London, hosted by Kathryn Pretzel-Shiels of American Express. This year's keynote speaker was Edward Griffiths, Deputy Master of the Royal Household, Buckingham Palace.

The ceremony was a global event, bringing together an array of boutique hoteliers, press, and industry insiders from Australia, Fiji, Germany, Iceland, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Vietnam, Turkey, UK, USA and many more.
