Having a safe and secure place to stay � it is part of what makes us human. Unfortunately, over 100,000 Australians will be homeless tonight � one quarter will be women with young children and one third will be under 25 years old. That is why Vibe Hotels are proud to be supporting the StreetSmart Hotels Helping the Homeless campaign.

Helping out is easy. In fact you can do it with your eyes closed.

During the months of August and September 2008 Vibe Hotels and StreetSmart are asking guests to add a $2 or more donation onto their room bill. It�s a simple idea that will help change many lives.

StreetSmart distributes 100% of all collected donations to support grassroots projects in the communities where hotels are located. Projects such as The Choir of Hard Knocks and the Big Issue Street Socceroos, both of which received early funding from StreetSmart, have gone on to gain Government funding, impacting on hundreds of lives.

Since 2003 StreetSmart has been changing the lives of people experiencing homelessness through a restaurant campaign run in the six weeks prior to Christmas. Supporters have raised over $480,000 to fund over 120 small community based organisations, providing emergency aid, accommodation, critical services and projects promoting social inclusion, empowerment and sustainable change to help people avoid or move out of homelessness.

Vibe Hotels and StreetSmart are working together to raise vital funds.
