Veranda Leisure & Hospitality are pleased to announce the appointment of David Martial as 'Chief Business Development Officer / Head of Marketing & Communications' on 18th January 2016.

David, who is Mauritian, has a Master in Information & Communication' and a DESS in 'Mediation & Ingenierie Culturelle' from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, and has more than 13 years' experience in Marketing & Communication Management.

David began his career in 2002 at 'The Blue Penny Museum' (MCB Group), where he was employed as 'Marketing & Communications Manager' until 2006.

He then joined CIEL Group in 2006 as 'Group Communications Manager' and 'Director of Sales & Marketing' for Anahita The Resort, and was appointed as 'Group Sales & Marketing Manager' at Sun Resort Ltd in 2010.

He left Sun Resort Ltd in 2012 to launch 'Hospitality Plus', a company specialized in Online Marketing & Online Distribution, where he is still the 'Managing Partner'.

As 'Head of Marketing & Communications', David will report to Christine Dupont, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, and will work in close collaboration with the Sales & E-Commerce Team. He will be mainly responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies and plans for all markets, to build up the digital strategy in collaboration with the digital team, and to manage marketing launches, events, advertising and PR campaigns.

As 'Chief Business Development Officer' he will report to the CEO and will work closely with him and the Senior Management Team in the elaboration of business development plans and the design implementation processes to support and facilitate business growth.
