Vasse Felix & Captain Cook Cruises Partner for the Ultimate Fine Food and Wine Gold Lunch Cruise

Captain Cook Cruises

Celebrate the finest Australian Beef and Shellfish over six-mouth-watering courses, paired with delicious cocktails and premium Vasse Felix wines on Captain Cook Cruises PADDOCK & CLAW Gold Lunch cruise, departing Friday 20 March 2020.

Held onboard flagship vessel, MV Sydney 2000, and set to the spectacular backdrop of Sydney Harbour, Captain Cook Cruises has partnered with Margaret River's founding wine estate, Vasse Felix and M&G Seafood to create an exquisite six-course food and wine menu.

Established in 1967 by regional pioneer Dr Tom Cullity, Vasse Felix has expanded its vineyards over the decades to include four distinct and exceptional sites around the Margaret River region. Each vineyard is matched to the best possible varieties and clones and farmed sustainably using traditional and organic practices. With a Cellar Door renowned worldwide, Vasse Felix wines reflect the varietal strengths of the Margaret River with a focus on Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon blends.

On the PADDOCK & CLAW Gold Lunch cruise, Stuart Barlow, from Vasse Felix will share the secret of the company's success and educate guests on each wine being served.

The indulgent PADDOCK & CLAW lunch menu features canapes of Wagyu beef and lobster roulade mini bites, a Crab and mango tower with avocado for appetiser, an Australian seafood plate of prawns, bugs and crab for entrée, an Intermezzo Champagne sorbet, a main course of Prime beef cut with roast vegetables and for dessert Malibu coconut slice.

The six courses are teamed for the first time with a selection of seven Vasse Felix wines. Vasse Felix wines include Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and Filius Chardonnay (side by side), Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and Chardonnay (side by side), Filius Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Sauvignon (side by side) and Cane Cut Semillon served with dessert.

Captain Cook Cruises are operating ten Gold Lunches throughout 2020. Each cruise is themed with a different cuisine, but all showcase Australia's finest food and wine producers. Remaining 2020 Gold Lunch cruises include AQUA FIZZ departing Sunday 05 April and 13 September and Thursday 3 December, CUT ABOVE departing Friday 1 May and 16 October, VINO BOTTE departing Sunday 28 June and 15 November and PADDOCK & CLAW departing 7 August.

The PADDOCK & CLAW Gold Lunch cruise departs 12 noon from King St Wharf No.1. An online special of only $129 per person is available at www.captaincook.com.au, normally $169 per person.
