In Travel + Leisure magazine's annual “World's Best Awards,” five Vancouver hotels were named among the top 10 city hotels in Canada. Each year, the magazine asks readers to rate their best travel experiences based on criteria that include rooms and facilities, location, service, restaurants and food, and value. The results are compiled and published in the highly anticipated “World's Best Awards” issue. In addition to the Fairmont Pacific Rim, which achieved the coveted number-one spot, Vancouver hotels landing in the top 10 this year include the Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver,Wedgewood Hotel and Spa, The Fairmont Waterfrontand The Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel.

In the same awards, Vancouver was named one of the top 10 cities in Canada and the U.S.
