Australia's longest-running niche travel publication, Vacations & Travel magazine, has expanded its Sydney-based team with the appointment of a new national account manager, Abbi Fletcher. The appointment comes at the start of a new chapter, following the magazine's recent re-launch across print and digital, and the appointment of a new editor and publisher in October 2018.
Joining the Vacations & Travel publisher Adam Davy at Morris Media Australia, Fletcher will work on key accounts to find multi-platform solutions for a number of key and premium travel and tourism clients.
A motivated and driven professional, Fletcher has more than 20 years' experience in media sales and management, starting her career at Condé Nast on Vogue Australia, then spending 12 years at Bauer Media (ACP) on Cosmopolitan, Cosmopolitan Extensions and the Parenting Group. She then worked at Pacific Magazines for four years, looking after Bride to Be magazine.
“I look forward to a new and exciting challenge in the travel category with Vacations & Travel,” says Fletcher. “With customer-service the priority and listening to our client's objectives, we will deliver cross-platform solutions to our advertisers, whilst integrating and working together on print and digital content,” she said.
Morris Media Australia is a subsidiary of the US-based Morris Media Network, publishers of the international in-bound Where Traveller title, produced in 37 cities worldwide and reaching more than 80 million readers annually. Fletcher will join a team of sales professionals at Morris Media Australia who work on inbound publications Where Traveller Sydney and Where Traveller Melbourne, along with a number of maps and guest books.
The net distribution of Vacations & Travel is 40,000 copies per issue, giving the title the highest distribution of any travel magazine in Australia. Morris Media Network has taken the deliberate step to move to a readership audit through Enhanced Media Metrics Australia (EMMA) – powered by global research experts Ipsos and Nielsen, which measures print and digital total audience. The Vacations & Travel audit is currently underway.
