Four Seasons Resorts Thailand

Holiday with family in Asia's most spectacular resort destinations: Maldives, Hoi An, Langkawi, Jimbaran Bay, Sayan, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Koh Samui

“From beach getaways and undersea adventures, to hillside retreats and forest glamping, families will find it hard to leave once they step into a Four Seasons Resort in Asia. Whether they choose to pack their days with excitement or leave room for solitude and relaxation, this is a vacation that will start the New Year on an inspiring note filled with transformational experiences and lasting memories.. “Our resorts in Asia are so culturally diverse – in traditions, cuisine, destination experience… We look forward to welcoming you and your family with utmost care and to extend your stay at our beautiful retreats,” says Rainer Stampfer, President – Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, APAC.

Enter A Magical World of Culture Together

With a strong culture that connects each of the destinations to the resorts, there are many immersive experiences on offer at the resorts when choosing to travel as a family. On the 'island of the Gods', guests can learn the expressive movements of Balinese dance while dressed in traditional attire of kebaya and sarong, or to weave their own canang and place it at the shrine under the guidance of Four Seasons Bali at Sayan's Resort Priest. During summer, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay invites guests to learn the art of making kites with their resident Kite Master and battle it out in the skies above Jimbaran's 3-mile beach.

A perfect family outing, guests can follow local fisherman Pak Din's time-tested methods of fishing at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi's Rumah Ikan Fish House. At this traditional fish house on stilts, guests can shadow Pak Din as he carries on his family's legacy of catching lobsters using a structure of wooden splints and a dip in the sea.

Combining the love for travel and the necessities of everyday life, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai's 2- to 4-bedroom Private Retreats provide the perfect family escape. With a promise of living the local life in Mae Rim valley, families can truly immerse in the culture of Thailand's countryside with an early morning cycle to explore a beautiful local temple, learning to plant rice first-hand from the resort's farmers or discovering the art of Muay Thai.

Wellness for the Whole Family

Wellness is taken seriously at the Resorts of Asia, where yoga is for all the family including children. Children age 6 and up can join in daily meditation, mindfulness and yoga classes at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An's Heart of the Earth Spa, inspired by the teachings of renowned Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Its daily Goodnight Kiss to the Earth ritual is a meditative activity for the entire family, as they float Vietnamese wishing candles on the lagoon lulled by the earth-attuned vibrations of crystal singing bowls.

From marine adventures to island hopping

Grommets as young as six can learn the basics of surfing or advance their skills from experienced instructors at the “Tropicsurf” Surf School of Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa. In this clear lagoon, families can learn to dive together as the Resort has special permission from PADI to teach children as young as eight directly among the fish instead of a swimming pool.

The Gulf of Thailand is known for its stunning islands and none more spectacular than Ang Thong Marine National Park. For a perfect family day out, guests of Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui can charter a private yacht and explore the islands for the day, enjoying the secluded beaches of the national park, while snorkelling and kayaking in the pristine waters.

Dine in the jungle or under the stars

Guests can spend the most magical hour with loved ones on the pristine beaches of Langkawi, Bali, Koh Samui and Hoi An, or immersed in the bamboo jungles of the Golden Triangle.

At Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, the deck of the exclusive two-bedroom Explorer's Lodge is set for personalized dinner, overlooking the infinity pool and lush tropical beauty. Stargazing and movies under the moonlight make for perfect afters.

Cook up a Storm with the Family

The stylish Cooking Academy at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An isn't only for grown-ups, it's delicious fun for the whole family. Take a walk around a local market (Jimbaran Bay and Chiang Mai) or the onsite herb & vegetable farm (Hoi An) before returning to the Cooking Academy to cook the meal together.

Royal Treatment for Tots

At Four Seasons Resorts of Asia, experiences for kids are an integral part of the holiday. Dedicated kids clubs – many with their own wading pool and slide – are equipped with books, toys and games while offering a mind-boggling range of indoor and outdoor activities to keep children happily occupied. From beach games and scavenger hunts to cooking classes and 3D movie screenings, each Resort's kids club welcomes wide-eyed tots with wide-open arms.

From a kids' point of view, it's the little touches like goodie bags, personalised treats and toiletries and child-size robes that make them feel special.  From a parents' point of view, think complimentary meals for under-5s, subsidised menus for 4-12 year-olds, picky palate requests, early restaurant sittings, and round-the-clock babysitting services!
