UVL Successfully Target European Market At EIBTM

Unique Venues of London (UVL)

Following a thriving EIBTM this month, Unique Venues of London (UVL) has announced it took nearly 100 enquires over the three day exhibition.

The definitive collection of some of the most distinctive event spaces in the capital, UVLs 69 members were popular with the European market, particularly for small high end dinners.

In particular Tower Bridge, the Foundling Museum, Greenwich Fan Museum and Madame Tussauds generated interest for these types of events.

Whilst many bookers and buyers were interested in events for 2012 in the run up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, UVL also took enquiries for three major events for 2010 and a dinner for 400 in 2013.

Lisa Hatswell Chairman of UVL and Sales and Corporate Events Manager at The Merlin Entertainments London Eye comments: As a collection of some of the capitals finest venues and with such a diverse portfolio, we were able to demonstrate the true uniqueness of London to European event buyers. The exhibition was a huge success for us and we hope to replicate this at EIBTM in 2010.

In its second year at EIBTM, UVL positioned its website and brochure as the first port of call for European buyers looking for venues in London, complete with its added value and expertise in hosting major events.

Representatives from Somerset House and the Royal Horticultural Halls ran the stand during the show.

Maria Langshaw, Events Manager at Somerset House Trust comments: EIBTM was my first experience of an oversees exhibition and it was great to be able to introduce UVL to potential new clients. It was also interesting to see that a lot of buyers were suddenly focussing on London again due to the exchange rate and Olympic Games.
