URBAN SAFARI EXPERIENCE - LIVE THE WILDLIFE!

We are very excited to announce that effective immediately, guests of Das Stue have exclusive access* to the adjacent Berlin Zoo directly via our bar terrace, opposite the antelope and ostrich enclosure. The spectacular views of our furry and feathered friends, which can be ogled at from the bar, terrace, and a multitude of rooms, have been amply written about, but they are no longer just a feast for the eyes- rather, guests can now enjoy a seamless safari-like experience right in the very heart of the city- a unique, unparalleled offering.

Having half the animal kingdom accessible in our back garden makes Das Stue an even more thrilling place to be- a luxurious oasis, a contemporary Noah's Ark shipwrecked in the Garden of Eden! Henceforth, guests will not have to queue at the official entrance in order to go peek at the penguins or loll by the lions, thereby saving precious holiday time. Whether for families, romantics, joggers, or business folk in need of a break, the easy entry to the zoo will serve to enrich the experience of staying with us. Of course, this is in addition to all the other attractions that Das Stue and indeed Berlin have to offer. What could be better?

*Please note: Entrance fees still apply

Das Stue is Berlin's first independently run, luxury boutique hotel (78 rooms and suites). Situated in the diplomatic district, the hotel is right in the centre of Germany's capital. Nestled in the lush Tiergarten Park and adjacent to the Zoo, it is only a short distance from all the shopping, art and entertainment hot spots in both East and West Berlin.

The Berlin Zoological Garden is the oldest and the most well known zoo in Germany. Opened in 1844 it covers 35 hectares (86.5 acres). With over 1,500 different species and around 20,000 animals the zoo presents the most comprehensive collection of species in the world. It is considered to be the most visited zoo in Europe and collaborates with many universities, research institutes, and other zoos around the world. It maintains and promotes European breeding programmes, helps safeguard several endangered species, and participates in several species reintroduction programmes.
