Universal Studios Hollywood

Coinciding with Latino Heritage month, Universal Studios Hollywood, the worlds largest movie studio and theme park, has enhanced its signature Studio Tour attraction with a new Studio Tour en Espanol hosted by the acclaimed Latina celebrity Maria Celeste Arrars.

Offered multiple times daily, the Spanish language tours, narrated by the popular television personality, will take guests along a 45-minute journey through the famed studios 415 acres, showcasing the many soundstages and working movie sets where todays filmmakers and celebrities create some of the worlds most famous movie and television productions.

As the new celebrity host of Universal Studios Hollywoods Studio Tour en Espanol, Arrars will introduce guests to the glamour of Hollywood filmmaking through a series of video vignettes showcased on the trams state-of-the-art LCD flat-screen monitors.

Spanish-speaking studio tour guides, armed with an encyclopedic knowledge of the studios history and its current production schedule, will also provide commentary as guests pass the locations of over 8,000 motion pictures, including such Universal blockbusters as The Scorpion King, Dr. Suess How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Hulk, The Mummy Returns, Gladiator, Jurassic Park, Bruce Almighty and Cat in the Hat. Other Tour del Estudio features will include occasional video greetings from other top Latino talent and productions.

Additional Studio Tour en Espanol highlights include Earthquake: The Big One, and encounters with King Kong, Jaws and a powerful flash flood.

Latino Heritage Month (September 15-October 15, 2004) honors the anniversary of independence for Mexico, Chile and Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.

The world-famous Studio Tour began in 1964 when Universal Studios Hollywood officially opened its gates and rolled out the red carpet for guests seeking a glimpse at the famous working movie studio.

Since then, Universal Studios Hollywood has transformed the landscape of a simple behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood magic into a thrilling, adrenaline-producing theme park where one-of-a-kind rides and attractions take guests beyond the dimensions of a movie screen and into a three-dimensional world of motion picture.

With the introduction of two new movie-based attractions, including the ground breaking indoor roller coaster Revenge of the Mummy, Universal Studios Hollywood has completed its evolution from an authentic behind-the-scenes Hollywood studio tour into a world-class theme park and destination.

Universal Studios Hollywood is the world's largest movie studio and theme park. Featuring such unique and groundbreaking attractions as "Revenge of the Mummy-The Ride," "Shrek 4-D," "Terminator 2: 3D," "Jurassic Park-The Ride" and the world-renowned behind-the-scenes "Studio Tour," Universal Studios Hollywood has matured into a full day, movie-based theme park.
