As you know, fashion is all about pushing the envelope when it comes to colors, textures, patterns, accessories and the unique materials used to create the next “must-have” item. And, while fashion-focused events across the country are featuring far more than the typical fabrics, one in particular near Tampa Bay is dedicated solely to this movement, sending garments fashioned with the unexpected - paper, welded metal, raw meat and more – down the runway!
Wearable Art Fashion Show (in Dunedin, FL) challenges artists and designers to translate their artistic aesthetic into - you guessed it - wearable garments. Following a sold out event, Dunedin Fine Arts Center presents the 11th annual Wearable Art Fashion Show on August 29.
Wearable Art Fashion Show is truly a celebration of design, creativity, fashion and passion. Many people travel from all over to attend Wearable Art, many of which choose to stay all weekend in Dunedin to enjoy the funky, beach town vibe. From top-ranked islands, Honeymoon and Caladesi Island, award-winning restaurants, more than half a dozen craft breweries, a vibrant downtown and eclectic boutiques and shops, Dunedin is a happening place that many consider to be the state's art coast, thanks to events like Wearable Art and it's growing arts scene. Dunedin is located just north of St. Petersburg / Clearwater on Florida's Gulf Coast.
I work with the city of Dunedin and would be happy to arrange ticket(s) to attend this year's Wearable Art Fashion Show as well as the pre-show and after party to mingle with designers and runway models. I would also love to discuss the possibility of you staying all weekend to experience the everyday lifestyle Dunedin offers.
I hope you leave feeling inspired and eager to share with your readers, as Wearable Art is growing and getting better year after year. In fact, the fashion show began merely as an eccentric fundraiser. The show is an exhilarating way to spend the evening and discover a whole new element of art, design and culture in an unexpected but emerging arts center.
Please let me know if you're interested in attending this year's unforgettable Wearable Art Fashion Show in Dunedin.
I look forward to hearing from you!
