The world famous White Swan Hotel, Alnwick, Northumberland - fitted out with the original contents of the TITANIC's identical sister ship the RMS OLYMPIC in 1935, showcased their genuinely unique venue this week. Featuring the original smoking room from the ship, magnificent antique panelling, mirrors, stained glass windows & incredible fireplaces ... even the original staircase with handcarved pineapples, & revolving doors ... that were used in the blockbuster film TITANIC with Kate Winslet and Leo DiCaprio. It is a little known fact that much of the photography available in the world today about the ill-fated Titanic, was actually taken from the identical RMS Olympic as their were few paparazzi around at that time. Former owner of the hotel Algernon Smart purchased the contents of the ship when it was decommissioned in the 1930's and fitted them into the hotel after sailing on the ship many times.

Alnwick was voted the best place to live in the UK and is also home to the Duke & Duchess of Northumberland's home - Alnwick Castle, the famous Alnwick Gardens & the biggest treehouse in the world. With the dramatic Northumberland coastline just ten minutes away, this is certainly an enviable location.

Civil ceremonies can be conducted in the grand Olympic Suite seating up to 150 for a sumptuous wedding breakfast. For a more intimate affair, the Castle Suite accommodates 40 guests for a civil ceremony.
