Current Owner
The owner Pom fell in love with the original design of Little Bear twelve years ago when a scaled down version had been erected on the pavement outside The Islington Business Centre during the Country Living fair. Originally known as The Shed, Little Bear was designed by Roderick James Architects who were working with Carpenter and Oak at the time. Knowing just the place to put the green oak structure, Pom hired a local builder to create her very own Goldilocks-style retreat.

The Unique Setting
The owner and her team cleared a large amount of scrub and turned the surrounding area into a wild flower meadow and organic garden, once finished it seemed only logical to put a writer's retreat overlooking it. Those looking for a grown-up fairytale hideaway will marvel at Little Bear near Billingshurst, with the chance to explore the surrounding ancient woodland in abundance.
