In response to a growing demand for its cycling holidays, HF Holidays has expanded its programme for 2014 to offer more variety to cyclists with the introduction of guided cycling tours to four worldwide destinations - Cuba, Kerala, Vietnam and South Africa - as well as introducing guided cycling holidays at seven selected locations in the UK.

Furthermore, the new Worldwide guided cycling holidays are exclusive to HF Holidays and are led by the company's own cycling leaders and/or English-speaking local guides.

Cycle Cuba, for example, takes in the country's varied landscape exploring old colonial-style cities such as Old Havana, Trinidad and Cienfuegos, the tropical coast, the Valley of the Sugar Mills and the Escambray mountains.  With daily cycling distances of between 20 and 44 miles, this 12-day holiday is suitable for regular weekend cyclists or a relaxing trip for fitter cyclists.

Available with selected departures in 2014, the cost is £1695 per person, land-only or £2375 inclusive of return Gatwick flights and transfers.  These twin-share prices also include 10 nights' mostly full board accommodation, the full cycling programme with a specialist local leader and an HF Holidays' leader, sightseeing and entrance fees, travel by air-conditioned coach travel, cycle hire, luggage transfers and tips.

Turning to the UK, the new three and four-night guided cycling holidays are available from seven of its UK Country Houses which are now all equipped with secure bike storage and bike wash facilities.  Bike hire is available or guests can bring their own bikes.

On the three-night guided tours in Shropshire, for example, there are daily rides of 20 to 35 miles mainly on quiet country lanes through undulating terrain taking in the towns of Ludlow and Much Wenlock as well as Caer Cardoc iron age hill fort.  The cost is £299 per person, twin-share, inclusive of full board at its Longmynd Country House at Church Stretton, the cycling programme and the services of an experienced HF Holidays' cycling leader (bike hire extra).

In addition, self-guided cycling breaks are available at all of the company's 19 Country House locations.
