Amidst optimism and the strong desire to awaken the tourism sector, the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) is delighted to invite you to the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE 2021) hosted from April 27th – 29th as a free virtual expo in Uganda.
This is a great opportunity to connect with the Uganda tourism industry, feel the rich culture of The Pearl of Africa, learn more about the destination, discover the latest updates, ask questions and attend inspirational seminars and panel discussions from global travel, tourism and hospitality experts.
The expo brings together tourism stakeholders and other service providers along the tourism value chain presenting them a unique opportunity to meet new clients, network, and discuss business deals with potential regional and international buyers.
POATE 2021 will be the 6th edition of this annual expo and due to the conditions imposed upon the tourism sector both locally and globally by the global pandemic, the event will be organised as a fully virtual expo under the theme: Restarting Tourism for Regional Economic Development.
Feel free to register online on https://poate.co.ug/register/
About Uganda
Known as the "Pearl of Africa," Uganda is located in East Africa and offers some of the continent's most diverse wildlife viewing, dramatic landscapes, and immersive cultural experiences and warm people and hospitality. Uganda is home to more than half the world's population of endangered mountain gorillas, and trekking to observe these gentle giants in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of the world's top bucket list travel activities. Safari opportunities abound in savanna, forest, and wetland settings throughout 10 national parks, where visitors can come face to face with "The Big Five + 2" – lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, chimpanzee and mountain gorilla– as well as giraffe, zebra, hippopotamus, crocodile, and more than half of all bird species found in Africa. Among Uganda's extraordinary natural attractions are the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains; expansive Lake Victoria, which forms the source of the Nile River; and Murchison Falls National Park.
