WASHINGTON - U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow issued the following statement:
“Congratulations to Kevin McAleenan on his appointment as deputy commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
“The travel community has found Kevin to be a valued partner in implementing the Obama Administration's National Travel and Tourism Strategy, particularly in bringing innovation and customer service to the front lines of CBP.
“While staying true to CBP's mission to secure America's borders, Kevin and his colleagues at CBP have fought hard for more frontline officers, implemented customer service programs like Global Entry and Automated Passport Control, and supported their regional offices' engagement with the private sector. We look forward to issuance of President Obama's national goal for entry reform, and know that Kevin will be a leader in CBP's implementation of that goal.”
