From September 28 2019 to Jan 12 2020 the Turner Contemporary and Margate will embark on an ambitious arts programme to coincide with the gallery's hosting of the Turner Prize 2019, one of the best-known prizes for contemporary arts in the world.

Running alongside the programme, the resort's leading hotel, Sands, will feature a special 'Turner Seaside Snap' package costing from £175pp which will include two nights B&B, one cream tea, a bottle of wine and a three-hour lesson with a local professional photographer on how to capture the best seaside pictures. The Sands regularly features among the Top Ten UK Seaside Hotels' lists and pioneered the transformation of Margate when it first opened its doors in 2014.  A double room with breakfast can be booked from £130 per night.
