Turkish Airlines Open (7-10 November) Presented By Ministry Of Culture And Tourism

Turkish Culture and Information Office

The Turkish Open, an elite 78-man tournament on the European Tour, will be presented by Turkey's Ministry of Culture & Tourism. It will be held on 7-10 November at the Colin Montgomerie-designed Maxx Royal Resort golf course in Belek, Antalya, with Tigers Woods among the 77 competitors.

The Turkish Airlines World Golf Final has become the Turkish Airlines Open this year, expanding from an eight-man exhibition event to an elite 78-man tournament on the European Tour, organised by the Turkish Golf Federation. The tournament will form part of the inaugural Final Series on The Race to Dubai, featuring world no.1 ranked Tiger Woods, and will be relayed to 52 countries by 39 international television channels. Last year’s top eight professionals event, won by Justin Rose, provided a taste of the world-class golf to be played in Turkey, and for 2013 the event is a fully-sanctioned European Tour event.

The Turkish Airlines Open will form a central part of The Final Series, the new four-tournament series that is part of The Race to Dubai, comprising the US$7 million BMW Masters, the US$8.5 million WGC – HSBC Champions, the US$7 million Turkish Airlines Open and the US$8 million DP World Tour Championship, Dubai – offering a combined prize fund of US$30.5million.
