PRESS TRIP  TO ALANYA

We are in the process of arranging a press event to Alanya, a popular touristic destination, on the Mediterranean shore. We would like to invite you to this event.

The event is predicted to be carried out during the first week of October and The Turkish Culture and Tourism Board will finance all of the costs of the journey, including flight tickets, accommodation, dining and involvement in activities.

In return we ask that you take pictures during your time in Alanya and publish them on your instagram account with descriptions and hash tags as well as mentioning The Turkish Tourist Board and Alanya Official accounts.

                                                                              PRESS TRIP PROGRAMME TO ALANYA

First day:

Arrival.

City tour with a tour guide including museum visit

Dinner with a board member at the Güverte Restaurant. 

Second day:

VisitingAlanyaCastle, RedTower, DamlataşCave, and DimCave.

Lunch at  Dimçayı.

Dinner with the Mayor of Alanya and members of the board.

Third day:

Departure at 08.40am from the hotel.

A Jeep safari.

Turkish music night.

Fourth day:

A Diving Tour, Surf or Sub, Diving.

Dinner (Alanya Local Food), Turkish Kebab Night.

Fifth day:

Local Alanya breakfast at Tepe Restaurant.

Traditional Turkish Hamam,  Sapadere trip, GoldCablePark extreme sports.

Shopping - local bazaar trip.

Belly dancing lessons.

ALANYA

Alanya, one of nature's most generous regions, is located in front of the TorosMountains by the Mediterranean Sea and is the hub of many civilizations throughout centuries.

Located on a peninsula reaching into the in the Mediterranean Sea, the holiday destination is a typical southern town with stunning nature and ancient history.

According to research conducted in the KadiiniCave the history of Alanya, situated between Pamphylia and Cilicia, reaches back to 20000 BC in the ancient times.

Climate: Alanya has a typical Mediterranean climate. Summers are hot and dry while winters are temperate and rainy.

Average air temperatures in September are predicted to be 33 ◦C and 27 ◦C in October (day-time).

MUSEUMS

Archaeology Museum

The ArchaeologicalMuseum which exhibits the artifacts of the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman era is another site that sheds light on history and therefore is worth the visit.

Atatürk's House Museum:

The house where Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of The Republic of Turkey, stayed during his visit to Alanya. 

Kızılkule Ethnography Museum:

Kızılkule is an Ethnography Museum as well as a historical building which was built by the Seljukian`s in the 13th century. It has five floors of which ground and first floors are designed as a museum.

NATURAL WONDERS OF ALANYA

Beaches :

The world's most beautiful beaches including the famous CleopatraBeach, Incekum and Damlataş are awaiting you to crown your holiday.

Damlatas Cave:

DamlataşCave or “dripping stones” shaped by the amazing architecture of nature is situated in Alanya. Damlataş, a place where you can experience the joys of discovery and the cool waters of the blue sea awaits you.

Phosphorous Cave:

It is a sea cave on the side of the peninsula near Damlataş. You can enter the cave with little boat. Moon light shines on the cave at night and as a result of the geological structure of the cave, the floor glitters like phosphor.

Dim Cave:

DimCave is situated on the slopes of Cebel-iReisMountain, 12km east of Alanya. It is believed to be approximately 1 billion years old and has a large, west- facing mouth as well as stalactites and stalagmites and a lake at the bottom.

Antique Cities:

Indeed, various ancient civilizations such as Selinus, Leartes, Iotape, Hamaxia have flourished in this region and contributed to the development of the town. The hub of many ancient cities, Alanya also stands out for its variety of relics left behind by these communities.

Dim Stream:

The Dim Stream is always full of visitors who flock to its cool waters flowing through magnificent green scenery and convenient facilities for fishing, swimming and recreation. Rafting is also available foradrenaline and adventure lovers.

Alanya Castle:

AlanyaCastle, which has a wall of 6, 5km in length and 250m in height, is one of the most important buildings rising on the peninsula. Constructed in the 13th century during the Seljukian times, the castle has 83 towers in addition to nearly 400 cisterns. Alanya castle still maintains its crucial position today as a major activity centre and a site of settlement.
