The TUI Care Foundation is taking journalists on a trip to the Dominican Republic to see some the initiatives the charity has been supporting.

NOTE: These experiences are not available to TUI customers but highlight the way the charity supports the destinations in which we operate.

Feb 27th-March 3rd

We'll start the press trip in Santo Domingo and proceed to Samana to explore our TUI Forests project. The project has a particular emphasis on protecting mangroves and engaging the local community, as well as with a a fishermen's cooperative. Our itinerary will include a visit to one of the project's tree nurseries to gain insights into the restoration area. Next, we'll travel to Bavaro, near Punta Cana, to visit a TUI Academy project, where young students from underprivileged backgrounds receive hospitality training.  Afterwards we'll visit a TUI Sea the Change project, which focuses on coral protection and restoration. A boat tour and a snorkeling opportunity will be provided to observe the coral protection area.

Our arrival will be in Santo Domingo, and we'll depart from Punta Cana.
