Tucan Travel were delighted to launch their Worldwide Adventures brochure for 2018/19 on Monday the 2nd of October. Their new brochure is packed with some of their most popular itineraries as well as useful information to help customers and agents make a booking with confidence.
In line with this launch, Tucan Travel are excited to announce that have they removed all nights of camping from their Worldwide Adventures Africa product for tours departing from February 2018. Previously, travellers would have usually had to erect tents from their Overland Truck for a number of nights in destinations such as the Serengeti National Park, Etosha National Park and Sesriem.
In place of these nights, they will instead be using a mixture of hotels, lodges and permanent tents, all of which include bed linen. Feedback has suggested that clients would prefer to not have to carry a sleeping bag with them for only a few nights where they are needed.
They are the first mid range group tour operator to offer an Africa group tour which is fully accommodated without the need for customers to use sleeping bags at any point.
They have also added a night at Elephant Sands for their tours that run through Botswana. Staying in stilted permanent tents, equipped with bedding and hot water facilities, this unique lodge is based on a private conservancy where wildlife roams free.
Africa Destination Manager, Emma Campbell was quoted “We are extremely excited to have been able to remove the nights spent camping on our Worldwide Adventures in Africa. Clients will now be able to stay in hotels, lodges or permanent camps throughout their tour eliminating the need to pack sleeping bags for a limited number of nights. We are the first (mid-range) adventure operator to be able to offer this whilst still providing excellent value group tours in Africa”
