Off the back of Top Gear's successful special where Clarkson, Hammond and May drive from Yangon to the River Kwai on old trucks, Tucan Travel have lowered the cost of their River Kwai Add-on allowing the intrepid traveller to visit the destination frequented by the Top Gear team. Originally £79, this day trip is now only £29.

Travelling by long-tailed speedboat, clients will be taken to Bangkok's floating market before driving to Kanchanaburi, otherwise known as the River Kwai where they will visit the cemetery for the Allied Forces of WW2, the JEATH war museum and the bridge on the River Kwai, returning to Bangkok later that evening.

At the end of 2013, Tucan Travel announced a range of Group Tours combining Burma with the rest of South East Asia flying between Bangkok and Yangon. This allows travellers to visit many of the places that the Top Gear team visit and get an idea of the many cultures within South East Asia. Travelling by air is still the most reliable mode of transport between Thailand and Burma.
