TT-Line Company Pty Ltd's Public Relations Recognised By Peers

TT-Line Company Pty Ltd�s achievements in public relations have been recognised in the annual Awards for Excellence conducted by the Tasmanian and Victorian divisions of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA).

In Victoria, TT-Line was awarded a commendation in the Community Communications category for an open day held on the Spirit of Tasmania in August 2000 while berthed at Station Pier, Port Melbourne.

The open day attracted 9,000 people and raised money for a local charity.

In Tasmania, TT-Line, through its public relations consultancy Corporate Communications (Tas) Pty Ltd, received a high commendation in the Issues / Crisis Management Communications category for Devil Cat in 2000 / 01.

TT-Line Chief Executive Peter Simmons said the awards reflected the company�s commitment to effective communications.

�It is very pleasing that the company�s public relations achievements have been recognised by the PRIA, the peak industry body representing public relations practitioners in Australia,� he said.

�It is particularly gratifying to note that our communications efforts were recognised in both Tasmania and Victoria where our key stakeholders reside.�
