Reducing screen time has become increasingly difficult during an extended period of social distancing, but 'Freedom Day' on July 19 will herald a long-awaited return to normality.
With six weeks of school holidays also upon us, why not get active with the kids and banish cabin fever once and for all with a family-friendly journey of discovery?
Treasure Trails are a fantastic way to get outside, get your steps up, and keep entertained. Anyone of any age can enjoy them – they're not just for kids!
The themed Trails cost £9.99 (plus P & P if required) and take budding explorers on a circular outdoor walking route of approximately two miles.
Discover secrets of your hometown or uncover stories further afield as you solve clues to crack a detective mystery, treasure hunt or spy mission.
Whilst you catch crooks and track down spies or hidden treasure, Treasure Trails showcase your local surroundings in a fun and adventurous new light.
Each puzzle incorporates clues on local landmarks, signs, statues, monuments, images, engravings, and other eye-catching features.
Aaron Hutchens, general manager of Treasure Trails, said: “Our ethos at Treasure Trails is to encourage people to ditch the screens, get outside in the fresh air, and explore the wonderful places on their doorstep.
“A Treasure Trail is a fun and challenging activity which can be enjoyed with your household, with the benefit of discovering something completely new about your local area,” he added.
There are more than 1,200 Treasure Trails to choose from across the UK, with locations varying from cities and towns to villages and rural areas.
