Creepy Croft Castle
Reputed to be the most haunted house in the Midlands, Croft Castle is said to be home to not one but seven spectres. Prepared to be scared, armed with only a torch light to fend against the victims of the Battle of Mortimer, embark on an adult only ghost tour to learn the stories hidden deep within the 11th century old abode.

Lurking at Lyme Park
Blood thirsty battle victims and an executed Knight, it's no wonder that Lyme Park can evoke eeriness and a sense of unease. The impressive medieval house turned Tudor mansion has seen its fair share of ghastly activity through the decades it has stood on tainted grounds but who knows, perhaps this Halloween it will see the most terrifying scene yet? Care to find out through a spooky trail through Crow Wood? You'll be in for a scare while roaming through the grounds accompanied by a phantom cortège, moving slowly through the park to Knight's Low, said to be the funeral of Sir Piers Legh.

Hampshire's most Haunted Beaulieu
Death foretelling incense scents, Gregorian chanting through the lawns and the omnipresent spirit of Brother Simon are just some of the remnants left by the old monks of Beaulieu Abbey. Said to be one of the most haunted buildings in the country, there's nowhere better to spend the scariest night of the year.
There's everything from a spooky stories in Palace House to tours with real ghost hunters in the haunted Abbey. Throw in a 'Moan-a-Rail' ride, with perhaps a few surprise visitors and you have a formidably frightening formula for a memorable experience. One thing to note, don't be surprised if the Grey Lady 'costumed guide' isn't able to help with your queries - she's none other than the deceased Countess Beaulieu, spotted by visitors throughout the main halls.

Horrific experiences
Isle of Fright's Apocalypse
Not for the faint hearted, be prepared to be scared out of your sensed on the Isle of Wight's Park of the Dead. This live action experience vilifies and twists real life events and the military stories at Puckpool Park for visitors to re-live a history, never before been told. Those with a nervous disposition are warned against this high intensity experience filled with loud noises, flashing lights, extreme darkness and moments of madness.

Suffolk's Scaresville
Prepare for the scariest attraction in Britain as Kentwell Hall transforms to the haunted village of Scaresville for All-Hallows Eve. The village is open for brave visitors on select fateful dates, so check ahead if you can't make the 31st October.
Experience dark rooms, forests and open farmland full of things that go bump in the night. With no steward and no 'safe' zones, you'll be totally alone for an hour filled with adrenaline pumping shocks and scares. Find out why this annual sell out event holds a 'Screamie' award to its name.

The Ghost Walk has become Nottingham's most favourite attraction and what better a day to embark on the night where un-dead revisit and want to walk among the living? Discover the secrets of the ancient city of Nottingham as you peer through the shadows and meander underground through sandstone caves. Pass the age old castle, graveyard and the Galleries of Justice in the sinister Shire Hall. Rich and poor, noble and treacherous, young and old, the stories of Nottingham's ghosts all await you. Midnight séance at Oxford Castle
Do you have nerves of steel? If so, put them to the test in an Overnight Ghost Hunt at the terrifying Oxford Castle. Access the old prison in the dead of night, including the most haunted area - the castle mound which stood as the place of execution for four hundred years. Call upon the poltergeists and hold vigils in the most paranormally active parts of the castle to really awaken your sixth sense.

Halloween Horrors at the Coalport China Museum
Go along to a Halloween Horrors family workshop at Coalport China Museum in Shropshire's Ironbridge Gorge during the autumn school half-term and try your hand at painting or making spooky creatures from clay. Let your imagination go wild and decorate a mug with strange monsters using on-glaze paints, or try your hand at modelling a creepy creature. Choose from a batty bat, scary spider or gruesome rat, or create your own weird and wonderful design, the choices are limitless.

Burghley's Pumpkin Trail
If you're not a fan of the frightening, fear not. Join instead the Burghley Pumpkin Trail around the stunning Sculpture Garden. Tread through the crispy autumn leaves as you wind through the estate searching far and wide for the hidden pumpkins. Find them all to receive a treat; though walking through the stunning garden to view the house in seasonal magnificence is one in itself!
For those who are a bit braver, there's also spooky family fun to be had by touring the state rooms by flickering candlelight - limited places please book in advance.

Join the Halloween Witch Academy
This Halloween, the iconic London Eye invites ghoulish fun at the iconic landmark. On the lookout for new recruits, come dressed to impress with you best pointed hat, broom and don't forget to bring your moggy too!
On the Halloween Storytelling Capsule, kids can join the High Witch to take on the ghastly Grimly Grim and help to foil his despicable plans to steal the Crown Jewels. Every graduate of the Witch Academy will receive a special badge of honour to join the Witch Academy Alumni.
Witchettes and hallowteenies get priority boarding and 30 minutes on the London Eye.
