Treasure Trails has announced a major new partnership with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to help fund their vital, life-saving research.
With 1,200 self-guided themed adventure trails across the UK, Treasure Trails are the perfect way for families to get active, have fun and enjoy quality time together.
Now everyone who embarks on one of their Trails will be supporting the BHF's fight against heart and circulatory disease as part of a partnership that will raise £15,000 over the next three months.
“Getting outside into the fresh air is incredibly important for our physical and mental health,” said Aaron Hutchens, General Manager Treasure Trails.
“That's why we're so delighted to be able to support the pioneering work being undertaken by the BHF by helping fund their vital research.
“Our ethos at Treasure Trails has always been to encourage people to ditch the screens and explore the wonderful places on their doorstep.
“It's a really effective way to get some fresh air and take on a fun challenge,” he added.
Lasting around two hours, each trail has its own specific theme and makes use of well-known local landmarks, signs, statues, monuments, images, engravings or any other unique or eye-catching features to create an exciting adventure.
“The BHF are delighted to be partnering with Treasure Trails,” said Sara Johnson, BHF Partnership manager.
“Whatever your age, being active now will make an immediate impact on your health and protect it in the future too.
“Physical activity helps control your weight, reduce blood pressure and cholesterol and improve your mental health – helping you to look and feel great and have fun too.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Treasure Trails and can't wait to see our partnership grow,” she added.
Treasure Trail booklets cost £9.99 (plus P&P if required), are suitable for up to five people and designed to appeal to all ages. Trails are also available to buy online and download to print at home, and therefore can remain completely contactless.
