TravMedia

Sydney, Australia – TravMedia celebrated its tenth annual International Media Marketplace (IMM) Australia at ICC Sydney on Friday, 18 February 2022, with more than 300 media and PR industry representatives in attendance.

IMM Australia connected more than 150 Australian media with 150 PR representatives of 100 international travel brands in the Gallery Exhibition Hall of ICC Sydney. Collectively delegates participated in more than 2,000 prescheduled, one-on-one appointments and 4.5 hours of open networking, which took place across multiple catered events.

Headline Partner Tourism Australia kicked off the two days of programming with Networking Drinks on Thursday night at the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, immediately following the TravMedia Summit Australia.

Morning and Afternoon Networking Breaks were presented by Destination NSW, who invited delegates to 'Feel New' at their spa-inspired popup. The Feel New South Wales activation offered ten-minute head and neck massages, rejuvenating rosewater facial spritz, Sydney rock oysters and cold-pressed juices by Simon Says Juice throughout the day.

United Airlines shared timely updates during the lunch presentation as international inbound visitor arrivals resume today.

Qatar kept delegates caffeinated and their schedules at hand as official sponsors of the coffee cart and delegate lanyards.

Media Bag Sponsor Coral Expeditions provided delegates with stylish black and white totes.

At the end of IMM, Hyatt Regency Sydney again hosted the evening networking function, showcasing seasonal cocktails and canapés as delegates celebrated a successful day connecting with old and new contacts.

Hotel Partners who supported the 40 interstate journalists for the IMM Hosted Media Program were Aiden by Best Western, Crowne Plaza an IHG Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour, Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, Hyatt Regency Sydney, Kimpton Margot Sydney, Novotel Hotels & Resorts Sydney on Darling Harbour, Ovolo Hotels, QT Sydney and Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating our tenth anniversary of International Media Marketplace events globally. The success of IMM Australia 2022 would not have been possible without the dedicated and resilient media and travel industry. Everyone in attendance is a testament to the camaraderie of our industry. While the pandemic is certainly not behind us, we are encouraged by clear signs of recovery,” reflected Nick Wayland, TravMedia's CEO and Founder.
