Travelodge Opens First Low-Cost Hotel At Leeds Bradford International Airport

Travelodge

Rooms from just 25 Free shuttle bus service from hotel to airport. Travelodge, the UKs fastest growing low-cost hotel brand, today announces the opening of the first hotel on site at Leeds Bradford International airport. The 48-bedroom hotel has been made from Yorkshire stone, supplied by Darrington Quarry in Knottingley West Yorkshire. The hotel has been designed to complement the local architecture, and to make the most of the panoramic views surrounding it. With its central location at the airport it provides residents of the Yorkshire area a convenient stopover when travelling to and from the airport. The hotel is fully soundproof so guests are not disturbed at night by aircrafts.

Claire Tidswell, Leeds Bradford Airport Travelodge Manager said, Leeds Bradford International Airport has rapidly developed over the last 18 months, more airlines have invested into the airport and the only thing missing was an on-site hotel. Leeds Bradford Travelodge offers a low-cost solution for travellers catching an early flight, or for travellers who have had a long flight and are too tired to drive home. Also we are renowned for not having the best weather in Yorkshire, so our hotel will be the ideal stopover for unexpected weather changes whilst travelling to and from the airport.

A free airport shuttle bus service is provided to all Travelodge guests from the hotel to the airport and back. Room prices start from just 25 per night and there is a choice of bedrooms double, disabled and family. A family room caters for 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 16 years old, making it fantastic value at 6.25 per head, which could work out cheaper than getting a taxi to the airport. Coupled with the convenient location it takes the hassle out of getting to the airport on time.

All Travelodge bedrooms offer a comfortable setting with a king size bed, en-suite bathroom with power shower, colour TV, free tea and coffee making facilities and an in-room entertainment system that offers pay on demand movie, telephone and Internet service. A breakfast bag service is available to all guests and can be delivered to their room between 7am to 9am; otherwise it can be purchased from reception at any time throughout the day. The breakfast bag costs 4.00 and contains fresh orange juice, cereal bar, muffin, fresh fruit and a takeaway tea/coffee.
