If you live in the Midlands then you are more likely to hanker after some snappy crocodile caper on a trip to Florida over those living anywhere else in the UK according to research by FloridaTix, the online attraction specialist and ticketing provider for those visiting Florida.

Wild Florida Airboats, where travellers airboat through one of Florida's swamp reserves,  counted for 36% of all bookings made by those in the Midlands, with their second favourite Floridian attraction being Gatorland. These two croc-packed adventures didn't feature in the top three most bookable attractions for all other areas of the UK.

Those living in bonny Scotland are more likely to book tickets to Legoland in Florida, 38% of all Scottish bookings were for this family favourite which offers 50 rides, shows and a breath-taking botanical garden and the all-new LEGOLAND Water Park.

North England travellers to Florida are more likely to book the Wonderworks attractions in Orlando and Panama City Beach whereas those living in London and the South East are more likely to book SeaVenture at Discovery Cove.

Birmingham-based FloridaTix provide great deals for UK holidaymakers looking to visit attractions in the Sunshine State. The company has been looking into the first six months' of bookings and discovered that those living in the North of England account for 27% of their overall bookings, the largest percentage, followed by 22% from London and the South East, then 18% from the Midlands and 17% from Scotland.

 "After analysing six months' data, we wanted to see whether there were any booking trends and the results were fairly surprising," comments Tony Seaman, Sales & Marketing Director of FloridaTix.

"We have no rationale as to why attractions built around crocodiles are a hit with those in the Midlands or why the Scots love Lego but as online ticketing business, it's important we constantly monitor bookings to pick out such unusual trends so we can consider them in our wider marketing plans and improve the customer experience," says Tony Seaman, Sales & Marketing Director of FloridaTix.
