“The special needs segment is hugely under-represented and under-serviced,” said Julie Jones, co-founder, Travel With Special Needs. “There is very little information readily available, and finding the right information can be time consuming and confusing. Travel With Special Needs aims to fill this gap. Providing timely information and tactical advice for people travelling with special needs as well as special offers and rates on tours and accommodation partners who deliver a truly accessibility-friendly travel experience.”

Travel With Special Needs shares special rates and travel offers for tours and packages designed for guests with special needs and their travelling companions. These handpicked offers have been reviewed and approved by a certified accessible travel consultant for appropriateness and value.

Travel With Special Needs launches today with four bespoke travel offers that have been reviewed by Julie herself, to ensure that the package is relevant for prospective customers. The packages available at launch include cruise offers, a deal to tropical north queensland and a Blue Mountains escape. The site will be updated with at least one new package each week.

Prospective clients are invited to call Travel With Special Needs on 1300 404 100 where they can speak directly to a team of certified travel consultants (including a Certified Autism Travel Professional). The Travel With Special Needs team will provide additional detail on the packages available, or alternatively assist prospective travellers find a package or accommodation provider that would best suit their specific travel needs.

In addition to custom packages, offers and travel consultancy, Travel With Special Needs has regular editorial content published to the website, providing tips and insights into how travel can be made easier for people with special needs. Covering information from concessions and carer rates to recommendations for travelling with children with autism, Travel With Special Needs draws on the expertise of a board of contributors who each specialise in a unique area of special needs.

'We are excited to be forging into another under-represented segment of the travel industry to bring it the attention and focus in deserves,” said Janeece Keller, Founder & CEO, Bound Round. “When you consider the number of people directly impacted by disabilities, it's baffling how little information there is available, and how hard it is to find appropriate travel options. We are proud to be bringing much needed advice and products to the community and look forward to seeing the response we receive.”
