Travel Oz, the all-Australian travel program, is to be screened across Australia on the Seven Network.
After 5 years on the ABC, the Seven Network has inked a contract to transmit TRAVEL OZ on Channel 7, 7Mate and 7TWO. Travel Oz will also continue to be screened in Australia and Asia on Nat Geo Adventure.
Australia Network Asia-Pacific will begin screening new episodes of Travel Oz from July, while Travel Channel Europe continues to screen the program across the week. Produced by veteran travel documentary producer/presenter Greg Grainger, Travel OZ features 3 to 4 remote and exotic destinations each episode.
As well as Greg's reports, regular guest presenters include the dynamic and zany Two Tims and fresh faces Dr Sally Grainger and Rea Grainger.
Series 3 of Travel Oz saw 43 new episodes produced, covering characters, events and destinations from all over Australia, from the King Island marathon to the wildflowers of Western Australia, with festivals of bush balladeers, and winter magicians to air shows and bush rangers.
Travel Oz specials feature the Great Barrier Reef, Australia's marine encounters, wildlife encounters, great sporting events, festivals and wildlife islands.
"We aim to capture the wonderful spirit of Australians." says TravelOz executive producer and presenter Greg Grainger. New episodes are being filmed now for screening in 2013/2014.
