We were on the hunt for more of the best holiday cottages along the south coast and only went and found a whole company's worth!

We are pleased to announce that with the new year comes new territory for Classic, with our first foray over the channel and onto the Isle of Wight.

Wight Locations are now part of Classic Cottages. They're a family company cut from the same cloth, so you can be sure of the usual Classic standards but you'll need to take a ferry to get to these.

We've been over and counted all their teaspoons and are pleased to report that the island properties will exceed your expectations so we look forward to welcoming you to the eastern reaches of our portfolio.

Perfect for short breaks with easy access from London, or week-long getaways of unspoilt scenery, the Isle of Wight is a world of its own. With events and festivals, walks and sights, shops and a foodie scene, this is a place of satisfyingly simple pleasures.

The Island office will remain, along with all the lovely people who live and work there – they know the island and its properties inside out so we're happy that they're happy to continue sharing their expertise and love for the Isle of Wight. The Island team will be ready to answer any local queries and help with picking out your perfect place to stay, but Classic will be behind the scenes working our admin magic with the pinpoint accuracy we've become known for.
