Leading Asia specialist, Travel Indochina, has released a new 'Burma & India River Cruising' brochure featuring soon-to-launch river cruises and a collection of exclusive charters for 2014-16. Those casting their gaze to Asia's great rivers can discover life along the Irrawaddy and Ganges with deluxe cruises on board the brand new Irrawaddy Explorer and Ganges Voyager I, sailing in total elegance to places rarely seen by travellers.
Launching in September 2014, the Irrawaddy Explorer will be the most luxurious river cruiser to set sail on Burma's Irrawaddy River. Inspired by Burma's rich British-colonial era, the vessel will offer five-star luxury with modern facilities, world-class cuisine and a high staff to passenger ratio for an intimate cruising experience. Its 28 stylish and spacious suites reveal floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto private balconies for panoramic views of the river, while other key features include a state-of-the-art fitness centre and stylish spa offering traditional Burmese massages.
Alternatively, Travel Indochina's customers can experience life along the Ganges River as they sail in unprecedented luxury on board the brand new Ganges Voyager I. Set to launch in January 2015, the all-suite vessel exudes elegance with exquisite design and facilities that rival some of the finest boutique hotels in India. Guests can enjoy sumptuous dining in the East India Dining Room, cultural performances in the Governor's Lounge, or simply relax in one of the 28 spacious suites with private balconies as they watch the ever-changing river scenery.
These exciting new cruises reflect Travel Indochina's approach to travel, with the smaller vessel sizes affording greater access to on-shore excursions for a deeper insight into local life. What's more, by exclusively chartering departures, the specialist operator provides a range of extras including the expertise of an on-board Western Cruise Director; 100% guaranteed departures; all meals (while cruising and on land); and all on board beverages. In addition, on-board entertainment and lectures help to ensure that everything is taken care of, leaving guests to sit back and enjoy their journey.
Travel Indochina offers a 12-day/11-night 'Treasures of Golden Burma' cruise on the Irrawaddy Explorer, sailing from Yangon to Mandalay and in reverse. The itinerary includes quality hotel accommodation pre and post the 10-day cruise, plus optional touring extensions to Inle Lake and Ngapali Beach. Prices start from £2,620pp on Travel Indochina's first exclusive charter from Mandalay on 22nd November 2014.
The 15-day/14-night 'Ganges Discovery Voyage' cruise on the Ganges Voyager I begins in Calcutta and includes 8 days sailing on the lower Ganges, visiting countryside villages and a former French colony, before flying to spiritual Varanasi and continuing to the Golden Triangle with a memorable visit to the Taj Mahal. Prices start from £3,670pp on Travel Indochina's first exclusive charter on 17th February 2015.
As an ATOL-licensed operator Travel Indochina is able to arrange international flights for both cruises.

Editor's notes:
Travel Indochina has been operating Small Group Journeys, tailor-made travel and river cruises to the "real" Asia for 20 years. Today, the company features the widest range of itineraries of departures to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos than any other tour operator in the UK, as well as a large variety of journeys to Thailand, Burma, China and Tibet, India, Japan, Bhutan, Mongolia and Sri Lanka. Unlike many other travel companies, Travel Indochina limits its group size to a maximum of 16 people. These smaller groups enable travellers to gain the best from both worlds - greater access to the local culture and plenty of opportunities for independent exploration.
