To celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the global Transformers phenomenon, The Venetian® Macao hosted the opening ceremony of the Transformers 30th Anniversary Expo Saturday at Cotai Expo Hall F, with officiating guests including Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macau Government Tourist Office; Gunther Hatt, Executive Vice President of Operations, Sands China Ltd.; Vicky Au, Managing Director of FM Event; Josephine Lau, Vice President of Logistics & Sales Administration of Hasbro Hong Kong Ltd.; Hong Kong actor Eric Tsang, Taiwanese boy band Lollipop@F and Hong Kong band Super Girls in attendance.
Co-organized by The Venetian Macao and FM Event, the Transformers 30th Anniversary Expo has received support from the Macau Government Tourist Office. The exhibition showcases over a thousand Transformers toys and fan collectibles from different eras as well as multiple giant Transformers statues. The one-of-a-kind expo also features the world debut of two-metre-high 3-D Transformers holograms, allowing visitors to experience the feeling of being next to a Transformer on their native world of Cybertron.
Celebrities viewing the exhibition Saturday also included Chin Siu Ho, Candy Lo, Chan Ka Po, Wong Man Yik, Lee Lok Sze, Virginia Lok, Leung Siu Bing, Chan Ka Fai, Wong Yin Chi, Lee Yee Man, Evergreen Mak, Lo Fun, Tyson Chak, Kellyjackie, Loretta Chow and Lawrence Chou.

Divided into 10 interactive zones, the exhibition allows visitors to experience the exciting world of Transformers up close. The expo is also home to a theatre showing a series of Transformers movies. A variety of Transformers merchandise including world limited-edition items are available for purchase exclusively at the expo, as well as branded almond cookie and cookie gift boxes for the first time – launched as part of a joint venture by Yeng Kee Bakery Macau and Transformers.
The Transformers 30th Anniversary Expo will be open to public from June 1 to Oct. 5, 2014. Visitors can purchase tickets through Cotai Ticketing™ or at the entrance to the exhibition hall. World Debut of 2-Metre-High Transformers 3-D Holograms
With an exhibition area of 2,650 square metres including 10 individual zones and screening rooms, the Transformers 30th Anniversary Expo displays a thousand Transformers figures, showing the development of the heroic Autobots throughout the past three decades. Visitors will also see exquisite collectibles on display courtesy of two Transformers megafans – Hong Kong's Mark Chan and Shanghai's Repaint Master, 'Death Knell.' The expo features over 200 of Chan's valuable items as well as 10 of the Repaint Master's repainted exhibits created since 2007. Moreover, a number of gigantic Transformers statues will be on display, including seven-metre-tall likenesses of the Autobot leader Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. In addition, two-metre-high 3-D holograms of the Transformers will also see their world debut in Macao, bringing the Transformers to life before visitors' very eyes.

Exhibition-Exclusive Transformers 30thAnniversary Figurines
In addition to the wonderful exhibits, visitors are also invited to take home a piece of Transformers history with exhibition-exclusive toys produced for the 30th anniversary. Ranging from 9 to 10.5 centimeters in height, these anniversary keepsake figurines come in five exclusive limited-edition varieties, with a different one being sold every month, made in the likenesses of Grimlock, Starscream, Soundwave, Bumblebee, and Optimus Prime. Each one is made with a high level of detail, and features semi-transparent parts as well as light-up LED eyes and a unique collector's number.
Upon presenting tickets to the expo and a total expenditure of at least MOP/HKD 100, visitors can redeem one of these exclusive toys for an additional MOP/HKD 200. Figurines have been produced in a limited supply of 2,500 pieces, and are available only while stocks last.

10 Exhibition Zones
The Transformers 30th Anniversary Expois divided into 10 zones, reproducing classic movie scenes and allowing visitors as well as longtime fans of the series to sample stimulating video games, view the expansive toy collection, and watch some non-stop animated Transformers action in the screening zones.
ZONE 1 Alliance Station
Enter the Transformers Alliance Station to visit the evolution of the Transformers.
ZONE 2 Transformers Decode
You will see a 3-D replica of the famous Allspark in the middle of Zone 2. Its energy glow will be triggered by your presence, the herald to an upcoming war. As a sign of respect to our honored guests, Optimus Prime will be presented in the form of a 3-D hologram to salute and provide you with precious artifacts and character introductions.
ZONE 3 Matrix Fight
The time machine will transport you to the Egyptian desert as seen in “Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.” Before entering your destination, you will need to pass through the laser grid that will test your sense of balance and your ability to focus. Fortunately, Bumblebee, Skids, and Mudflap will stand by to watch your back! Attention, comrades, danger awaits!

The leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, is the most famous Autobot character. As a special treat, our 3-D mapping will display the exquisite details of his physique in all his glory.

ZONE 7 Military Base
The most breathtaking attraction of this exhibition is the 7-metre-tall Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. These two formidable figures stand across from each other for fans to admire the delicate craftsmanship that was put into their production. The premier brand of Macao souvenirs, Ying Kee Bakery, is partnering with Transformers to jointly launch a series of almond cookie and regular cookie gift boxes. Each box set includes four characters, and displays designs of the Transformers characters Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Drift, Crosshairs, and Lockdown. Each box contains 12 pieces, and is for sale exclusively at the expo. Other items on sale include Transformers clothing, stationery, and lifestyle items for fans. The hall will also sell a special brochure commemorating the anniversary of Transformers that catalogues the growth and development of the Transformers collection through 30 years, and is a must-have for fans. Visitors can purchase this keepsake for HKD/MOP 80.

As someone born in the booming 80s decade of toys, Mark Chan has been engaged in graphic design work. Now fully responsible in the travel business, he has been collecting toys for over 10 years, from a wide range of Barbie dolls to boy-oriented toys. He's expanded to Transformers figures in recent years. His Transformers collection includes over 300 pieces. He mainly collects Decepticon figures, and is famous as a local toy collector.

Sang Zhong (birth name Li Yun Feng) paints Transformers full-time, having nurtured a love of models from his youth. In 2004 he graduated with a degree in Fashion Design from the prestigious Donghua University in Shanghai. After graduating, he began making money repainting Transformers figurines. Due to the outstanding and professional quality of his work, Hasbro, the parent company behind Transformers, issued him a commendation and gave him official recognition. Current samples of his work are available online and in model stores.
