This 18 day “Classic Peru” itinerary departing Good Friday on April 14th and stretching to the Bank holiday on May 1st uses just nine days of annual leave. The itinerary includes two nights in Arequipa and an overland journey to Puno (stopping for two nights in the impressive Colca Canyon en route), two nights at Lake Titicaca and the full day spectacular train journey to Cusco (one of the last dates that this Andean Explorer train route will run as a day trip – it stops the following Saturday), two nights in Cusco, the five-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and finally three nights relaxing in and exploring the Sacred Valley.
