Tour operator Audley Travel is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month.

The company was launched in 1996 by Craig Burkinshaw and John Brewer and started life as Asian Journeys. It quickly expanded to include other destinations and the name changed to Audley Travel in 2001. Since that time the company has continued to develop and now has over 500 employees and 17 different brochures with offices in West Oxfordshire, London and Boston (USA).

Craig and John still take a close interest in the business and are supported by an experienced senior management team and a board. The CEO (appointed in 2012) is Ian Simkins. Mark Hanson is the UK managing director and Jacqui Lewis is managing director in the USA.

Although the company does advertise, the majority of its business comes from people who have travelled with Audley before or have had Audley recommended to them by those who have done so.
