Blenheim Palace re-opens

After a winter of renovating and deep cleaning Blenheim Palace re-opens with a full calendar of events, exhibitions and activities for 2015. Explore over 300 years of history as well as 2,000 acres of 'Capability' Brown Parkland and beautiful Formal Gardens.

Visitors can buy an annual pass* to experience and re-visit the Palace for free throughout the year, as well as many of the events.

Blenheim Palace Churchill Exhibition Opens

Visitors can enjoy a new look at the Churchill Exhibition that runs throughout five rooms in Blenheim Palace, offering an exciting experience of new and never been seen before artefacts, videos and audio bringing to life our 'Greatest Briton' in a year of his three key anniversaries.

February Half Term at Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace's Pleasure Gardens have a whole host of activities to keep all the family entertained over half term including events in the Pottering About Studio, Giant Hedge Maze and Adventure Playground.

Butterfly House Re-opens

Situated in Blenheim Palace's Pleasure Gardens the splendid Butterfly House is home to a sub-tropical plant display housing native and exotic butterflies. A wonderful experience for all the family to enjoy.

Queens Pool Buggy Tour

New for 2015 are a series of Buggy Tours around the Park and Formal Gardens. A favourite for February is a tour around the Queen's Pool, stopping at some of the interesting landmarks on route: from Vanbrugh's Grand Bridge to the Column of Victory, this scenic tour is a great way to explore.

Renovation of the Indian Room

Blenheim Palace's ornate Indian Room is being restored this month, returning it to its former glory. Whilst some work can be carried out in situ, some must be removed to restore. This is the first time the wall has been uncovered, which may unearth some exciting discoveries. The paper will be relined from behind to provide a better support. Experts will then hand-paint the repaired areas; the pattern is extremely detailed so it takes a very steady and practised hand.

Sunday Jazz at Blenheim Palace

On selected Sundays throughout February and March visitors can listen to live jazz music in Blenheim Palace's Oxford Pantry or the Water Terrace's Café. Visitors can treat themselves to selection of delicious food options, including breakfast paninis, warming porridge, pastries, cake and fresh tea and coffee as well as the Sunday newspapers.

Gardens in February

February is the best time to see the snowdrops at Blenheim Palace. Visitors can tour around the Formal Gardens as well as making sure to visit the Temple of Diana, where Sir Winston Churchill proposed to Clementine Hosier, a must-see during the month of romance.

Winston Churchill Anniversary Tea

Valentine's Day at Blenheim Palace will be a very special affair as in the year of Sir Winston Churchill the Palace have created an exclusive Anniversary Tea. Only available from 14 to 21 February, the delicious afternoon tea will be served in Blenheim Palace's iconic Indian Room decorated with Blenheim Palace roses and love letters from Churchill and his bride Clementine Hozier.

Winter Walks

Spot the interesting wildlife at Blenheim Palace on a park perimeter walk. The walk, lasting about 2 hours, is 4.6 miles long and offers visitors the opportunity to explore the Blenheim Palace's extensive parkland. This walk is also dog-friendly, so perfect for an afternoon stroll.
