ON YOUR BIKE: TWO NEW MTB TRAILS FOR ALL ABILITIES
Tignes and the wider Tignes - Val d'Isère area already boast 230 kilometres of mountain bike trails. This summer, two exciting new additions open up the mountains to even more riders.
La Fario: the perfect valley e-Mountain Bike Adventure
Launching this June, 'La Fario' is a brand-new 40 km e-MTB route (80 km return) linking Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Tignes through spectacular valley scenery. Rated blue and suitable for families, the route features a gentle elevation profile, e-MTB charging points, heritage information boards and multiple access points for flexible itineraries. All local buses have bike racks, making rides simple to plan. The ride takes approximately four hours uphill and three hours downhill.
La Scarefresse redesigned: flow and confidence on an iconic black run
The legendary La Scarefresse black run at the high-altitude bike park has been redesigned for a smoother flow, playful, and still thoroughly challenging. Open from 27th June to 28th August 2026. Day passes: adults €23, under-14s €17 (included in the MyTignes card). A Saturday special offers great value at €15.
WALK ON AIR: TIGNES' HIMALAYAN FOOTBRIDGE (NEW)
One of the most dramatic new additions this season, Tignes' new Himalayan-style suspended footbridge stretches over 200 metres in length and hangs more than 100 metres above the River Isère, overlooking the La Daille Gorges.
The bridge connects the Bois de la Laye botanical trail, created on the site of a former dam quarry steeped in local heritage, to the authentic hamlet of La Reculaz, offering a gentle yet exhilarating way to experience the alpine landscape. Accessible to all abilities. The best news is that this must-see attraction is free of charge.
ALTITUDE WELLNESS: BODY AND MIND IN THE MOUNTAINS
For the first time, Tignes steps into the wellness retreat space with two standout new offerings:
Yoga & Wellness Retreat at Chalet Hôtel Yéti
The Chalet Hôtel Yéti hosts its debut mountain wellness retreat from 26 – 28 June: a three-day, two-night escape combining Vinyasa and Yin yoga, breathwork, gentle mobility, nature trails and journaling. Led by physiotherapist and yoga teacher Pauline Kunegel, the retreat is open to complete beginners. From €730 per person, inclusive of accommodation, meals, and activities.
Afternoon Tea & Spa Package at Hotel Les Suites
Maison Bouvier's five-star Hotel Les Suites launches a new bespoke Afternoon Tea & Spa package throughout the summer. Featuring granite-and-reclaimed-wood spa interiors, heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, hammam, sauna and tailored muscle-recovery treatments, the experience wraps up with a gourmet afternoon tea in the Whitney Bar.
