Extreme fishing package for June 2013 caters to fanatic fishermen
NORTH VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – A Chinook salmon is the kind of fish that anglers dream about catching; King Pacific Lodge is the kind of place that fishermen fantasize about visiting. Located deep in the Great Bear Rainforest—dubbed “the wildest place in America” by National Geographic Magazine—this floating wilderness lodge is surrounded by the fertile waters of the legendary Chinook (aka King) salmon. As a tribute to these feisty fish, King Pacific Lodge has declared June 2013 Freedom to Fish month. This fully inclusive package invites anglers to fish to their hearts’ content, and enjoy King Pacific Lodge, voted Canada’s No. 1 Resort by Condé Nast Traveler readers for five consecutive years.
For die-hard fishermen who want nothing more than to jump in the boat upon arrival, King Pacific’s flexible schedule hits the spot. Ardent anglers can literally “fish the tides,” with 10 hours of guided fishing each day. Those with a more leisurely pace in mind may prefer to intersperse wildlife watching, kayaking or hiking with luxury salmon fishing. Add-on activities like heli-fly fishing and heli-yoga will add a deeper appreciation of the rainforest.
Says King Pacific Lodge president Michael Uehara, an experienced fisherman himself: “It’s all about how you like to fish. We understand the passion of those who want to be on the water from dawn to dusk, yet we know that some guests appreciate lingering over a leisurely dinner and taking life at a slower tempo. At King Pacific we’ve created a schedule that will offer ultimate freedom to fishermen this June, with all the comforts of Canada’s number one resort.”
Freedom to Fish is limited to 24 guests per trip. Guests will enjoy King Pacific's legendary personalized service, spacious 450 square foot guest rooms and the award-winning restaurant and spa. Round-trip transportation from Vancouver, all meals and beverages are included, as well as fishing equipment and fish care. Kitted out with storm suit, boots, cap and licence, it’s easy for fishermen to arrive and start fishing. Keen anglers can add extra hours to the fishing day.
Freedom to Fish runs from May 31 to July 5, 2013, with rates starting at $3,595 CAD per person for three nights. This package is flexible, allowing guests to add extra nights, more hours of fishing, book a fisherman’s massage in the Rainforest Spa, or to upgrade room category.
