Tierra Atacama and Huka Lodge Named to Travel + Leisure's 2026 It List

Two Beckons properties recognized among the world's best new and reimagined luxury hotels following recent landmark refurbishments.

Announced today, the prestigious annual list spotlights the world's 100 most exceptional new and reimagined hotels and cruise ships.

Part of a global portfolio of nine luxury lodges, both Tierra Atacama and Huka Lodge reopened in 2025 following significant transformations that deepened their connection to place and redefined the guest experience. Tierra Atacama completed a US$20 million enhancement, while Huka Lodge marked its centenary milestone with a NZ$25 million (approx. US$22 million) refurbishment, honoring its legacy while setting a new benchmark for future generations of travelers.

Each year, Travel + Leisure's editors and reporters visit hundreds of new and refurbished hotels and cruise ships around the world before selecting the top 100 most memorable experiences for the prestigious It List. Recognition among the 2026 honorees underscores Beckons' commitment to design-led transformation and world-class hospitality rooted in nature and culture.
